What is The Handbag Studio rental service?
The Handbag Studio offers a rental service where customers can rent authentic designer handbags for a specified period. It’s a convenient way to enjoy luxury bags without the long-term commitment.
Are all your items authentic?
Yes, absolutely! Authenticity is a top priority for us. We carefully authenticate all our designer handbags to ensure that every item in our collection is genuine.
How do I rent a handbag?

Why do I need to verify my identity before renting?
Identity verification is required for all renters to ensure the security of our high-value items. This step helps us mitigate risks such as theft and fraud.
Do I need to verify my identity every time I want to rent a bag?
No, you only have to go through verification once.
How long does verification take?
It can take anywhere from 1-2 business days to have your account reviewed.
What is your ‘Wear & Tear Protection’ add-on?
Our Wear & Tear Protection is a non-refundable add-on that covers minor accidental damages to the bag during your rental period. However, it does not cover the following:
Loss or theft of the item
Missing parts of the item
Major visible wear to the interior or exterior of the item, larger than a €1 coin (including stains, tears, rips or scratches)
Fire or smoke damage
How long can I rent an item for?
- You will have the option of:
7 days
15 days
30 days
How many items can I rent at one time?
You can only rent one item at a time. VIP clients have the option to rent multiple items at a time.
How do I receive my rental item?
We will send your rental item to you on the first day of your rental period. All details on shipping and returns can be found here.
How do I return my rental item?
You must return your rental item using the prepaid shipping label on the last day of your rental period. All details on shipping and returns can be found here.
What happens if I am late to return my item?
If your rental is not returned on time, late fees will apply. You can find all the details regarding late fees here.
Can I extend my rental period?
Yes, you can request an extension by contacting us at support@thehandbagstudio.ie. If the extension is approved, you will be required to pay for the new rental period.
Do I need to clean the item before returning it?
- No, there’s no need to clean the item. Just make sure to check all pockets and remove any personal belongings before returning it. If the item is damaged, please avoid cleaning, painting or attempting repairs as this could cause further harm. In the event of damage, please contact us at support@thehandbagstudio.ie.
Can I buy the item that I’m renting?
Yes, absolutely! If you fall in love with your rental bag, simply reach out to us at support@thehandbagstudio.ie, and we’ll be happy to discuss the option of purchasing the bag.
